Abstract :

Torben Larsen was a man who lived a full life and inspired and befriended many people. He was a multi-faceted man: scientist, lepidopterist, taxonomist, conservationist, economist, sociologist, author, raconteur, husband, brother and uncle. He had experience far beyond his 71 years, and had an unquenchable thirst for knowledge and discovery. He considered himself a citizen of the world and was a mentor to so many, sharing his love of Lepidoptera and the natural world with all those who shared his passion.
