Title :
Abstract : The lichen-feeding larvae of Durbaniopsis saga van Son feed mainly, but not solely, on the algal component of lichen and its mouth-parts seem to be adapted for removing this unusual kind of food from its substrate. The larvae of D. saga, at least the final and penultimate instars, are nocturnal feeders and spend the day in places sheltered from the sun and camouflaged against predators. They appear to lack any of the structural and behavioural adaptations usually associated with myrmecophilous lycaenid larvae.
